Four-some Roo puts United on top

Wayne Rooney scored a sensational four-goal salvo as Manchester United beat Hull 4-0 at Old Trafford to grab top spot in the Premier League.

Rooney needed just eight minutes to open the scoring but it was not until eight minutes from the end that he grabbed his second.

A third, and his fourth United hat-trick, followed shortly afterwards following a cross by the excellent Nani before Rooney completed his massacre of Phil Brown's men with a solo effort in stoppage time.

It will take more than one decent display to change the almost universal negative opinion of Nani but against Hull he always looked up and when an early ball was on, he generally played it.

It was Nani who played an excellent reverse pass through for Michael Owen's best chance on only his fifth league start of the campaign, only for former Manchester United defender Paul McShane to divert it back to Boaz Myhill with a despairing tackle.

That was the first of numerous chances for the hosts, only one of which had found the net.

There have been plenty of times down the years when a Paul Scholes screamer has left a hapless goalkeeper grasping fresh air.

Age has lessened those instances but the veteran midfielder still packs a powerful punch and Myhill could only turn away his seventh-minute effort.

And Rooney was on to the loose ball in a flash to drill with his second touch beyond Myhill, the Hull hero at Tottenham last week.

United did not really look liking adding to the scoreline before the break but Rooney continued to battle hard and was just off target with a 25-yard shot after the the interval before Park was set up by Nani only to completely mess up his shot.

But was uninspiring fare from the hosts and they looked increasingly vulnerable to the counter-attack.

Substitute Kamel Ghilas almost got the equaliser too when he turned on to McShane's cross, only to see his shot bobble agonisingly wide of the far post.

Nerves would have been settled if Gibson had spotted Rooney on his own and played a pass to the striker rather than chipping on to the roof of Myhill's net from 40 yards after Nani had sprung the offside trap.

Rooney was clearly unhappy with the Irishman so he decided to take command himself.

When Myhill fumbled Nani's free-kick on to his own bar and then flattened Andy Dawson, he created mayhem in the Hull box which Rooney exploited with a typically brutal finish.

The England man then gleefully nodded home a Nani cross as the Portugal wide-man continued to play an excellent supporting role to the main act.

Hull were on their knees before Rooney fired home again from inside the box in stoppage time.

The home fans roared their approval and chanted their hero's name. At least it made a change from the Glazers.

Owen desperate to earn WC spot

Michael Owen has sought the advice of Manchester United team-mate Wayne Rooney as he seeks to break into Fabio Capello's England squad.

Owen has scored 40 times in 89 England appearances - the last of which came in March 2008 in his only England game under Capello - but has conceded he is no longer the same player as the one who scored that memorable solo goal against Argentina in the 1998 World Cup quarter-finals.

The 30-year-old has spoken with Rooney about what the Italian expects as he seeks to join his United colleague in the squad for this summer's World Cup in South Africa.

"I've watched all the games. I know what the manager is looking for, even though I'm not there listening," Owen told The Guardian.

"For example, I ask Wayne, 'What does he expect when you've not got the ball?'

"So I have to stay in with it without thinking I'm part of it, because I'm not."

When Owen was first overlooked by Capello, he felt "numb" - "It was really disappointing, upsetting" - but the former Liverpool, Real Madrid and Newcastle striker, who has been beset by injuries, admits he has now had to change the way he plays.

He added: "I was proper, proper fast at one point, and obviously I'm not now, so I've lost certain things, but when I was that fast I didn't need to do certain other things in a game.

"It was such a potent weapon. I was in the team to threaten in behind, to get the ball and run at players.

"But when I started losing that I had to find other ways to scare defenders. And that's how your game evolves.

"I'm much better now at timing the run and picking the moment and being able to spot something develop.

"I'd say my runs are more thought-out now."

Yeah, about this Canon SX20 IS, just checking the QQestore just now, and searching for the DSLR for "newbies" just telling MRR the professional photographer, and yes he said that this canon sx20 is Perfect for newbies, btw, this canon is not DSLR, it is digital camera, it's look like DSLR but i'm so much into this. ;) haha. i don't know why. but maybe i really want this, though my parents not yet buys my presents for my b'day! bwahahaa, this Camera costs about $700+, so it's perfect cost for my parents for buying me this. :DD

Semasa didalam kereta, saya pun hairan mereka bercakap pasal allahyarham hj othman (bungsu). selepas itu, saya pun menuju ke rumah nenek dimana situlah bungsuku tinggal. Saya terus naik ke atas, rupa-rupanya benar. Saya tidak sangka... (tukar ke bahasa brunei).

Begitu sedih aku lihat anak-anaknya.. mentitis air mata.. The sides had met in the final of the Barclays Asia Trophy and once again it was Spurs who came out on top to move ahead of Chelsea on goal difference.

Today at school, just fine, the problem is. why does my brain always forget? ah man~. like wanna makes me to punch my own head. you want to hear the story?. here's the story.

it was science period, like always we must greet the teacher, then we sit down. i forget to bring my yellow book. Firstly i were angry by teacher, then secondly, i thought that i am the only one who doesn't bring my book. almost 5 of them who doesn't bring the book. like damn... FRUSTATING. >.<

ugama time, hmmm. no teacher, no learning, learn my own~. ORAL on this Saturday, it's easy they all say. that the teacher are very kind and helpful. that's cool. zaeem says that some of the oral teacher let us see the book for a while but the boring part is they will cut our marks. yeah. boring.

it was fine cloudy Tuesday. i was bored at that time. before i wake up in the morning for school time, i thinking about her. she's a very cute and soft. sort off. then i woke up, taking shower, using my uniforms and take a fast breakfast, then i go to school by my auntie.

before we reach there [school], we take some peoples, then we're of to school. after a minutes we, arrived at school. *check temperature, okay, give a sticker, hmm, and a little bit of a soap*. then go to the class. like usual talking to friends, doing some bored stuffs, and etc. lessons starts. firstly, reading, there's no teacher judith. i heard that she is sick of us or NOT. Then teacher connie come [new teacher]. and start reading. all are fine and like usual blablabla. RECESS.

recess time~ nothing to say. no eat just drink some ice lemon tea and talk to bestfriends. then bells rings. walking walking and walking until we reaches there [at assembly hall]. and go back to class. wait do i miss something? ahhh, checking uniforms. all are good and clear~ and off to class. then teacher malar's lesson. as usual laugh, angry, smile, sad and etc. i like teacher malars class so funneh. yeah. lil bit'. then BM like usual. next class Mr.Michael. our new chapter COMMISION yeah. i love it. sort off. it was started to rain. and yeah. i like it~. then bells ringing and we're go back home.

Yo!,

(Morning School) Umm, yeah, it was fun just know when we free on last period when teacher christina didn't came all of us are like "apa lagi?!" then we all playing and playing and playing ..

when we play suddenly... jengjeng....nothing happen

i was playing with rusaidie we played hand war for the first time i win .. then my hand was suddenly like the "urat" we're like having cramp... wow! i never had this cramp before the it was ring bell

we were going home.. after we go home i was ready for ugama then my hand still got muscle cramp... i just wait and wait then my transport came the when i come in the car my muscle cramp were slowly goin' goood~ then we were at ugama,, hmmm,

Hajat ku pada hari ini akan menceritakan sesuatu yang aneh pada hari ini ada kes-kes aneh yang berlaku di ugama tadi. saya akan senaraikan sesuatu yang aneh :-

kana rasuk, yang ku dangar perempuan... ia nampak benda tu, bistu durang panggil cikgu. atu yang ku dangar lah pasal urang kana rasuk tu
